This 4-room BTO was reimagined into a highly personalized home, blending organic textures, sculptural elements, and functional innovation. The living area, unusually situated between two common bedrooms, became a canvas for layered zoning, creating distinct yet interconnected spaces. A sculptural curving divider, inspired by a feng shui requirement, anchors the common area while doubling as a design statement. Full-height day curtains replace window pelmets, filtering natural light and emphasizing verticality, while tile-look vinyl floors unify the space.
The kitchen was expanded with a double-volume peninsula, serving dual purposes as storage and demarcation between living and kitchen zones. Glass bricks soften exposed voids beneath the peninsula, diffusing light into the foyer. Two contrasting backsplashes balance functionality with aesthetic layering. In the master suite, the bedroom merges with the adjacent room to form a luxurious retreat featuring a walk-in wardrobe, bespoke bedhead, and custom bedside tables. Boutique-style display cabinets and cave-like partitions introduce a sculptural quality, hand-drawn on-site to achieve organic curves. Subtle integrated lighting throughout the home enhances ambiance and highlights design details, unifying the practical with the poetic.
The space rooted in the spirit of Wabi-Sabi, imbalance beauty is revealed in the soulful charm of asymmetry. Live with it — and the home is where imperfection becomes the essence of true aesthetic harmony.
