With a clear design vision in mind, the designer brought Raffles Hotel inspiration into real life—a cosy blend of colonial elegance with Peranakan touches. The spacious living room, however, came at a thoughtful trade-off: two bedrooms were sacrificed, as its original placement was constrained by the household shelter and one of the bedrooms. A clever swap of the living area brought new delight to the home. And that empty corner? Transformed into a private study, greeting guests right at the entrance.
Behind the living room lies the open kitchen, a statement in itself.
At first glance, the sleek grey cabinets capture attention, but a closer look reveals the patterned backsplash—a subtle yet captivating spotlight.
Throughout the home, colourful accents breathe vitality into the interiors, with the bathrooms stealing the show. Decorative floral tiles grace both walls and flooring, creating a mesmerising effect that is vibrant yet refined. Every detail, from the floral basin to the wall lights and door handles, contributes to a harmonious aesthetic that whispers understated luxury.
This design stays true to its intent: prioritising the essentials while transforming the home into a personalised sanctuary, exactly as envisioned.
